Celtic Tri was born back in 2005 when a number of like-minded triathletes from the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area wanted to share their knowledge and experiences and create a social belonging, in what can often be an isolating sport.
Now with over 300 members as far away as Pembrokeshire, West Wales to Cardiff in the East, our Club has grown beyond our expectations.
And in our numbers lies our strengths. We’re fiercely proud of our members. And we’ve got a real mixed bunch! From those who represent Great Britain as our age groupers to weekend warriors and our juniors – completing their first Ironman, to regular Olympic and Sprint distance triathletes – and a lot more in-between.
We’re also really committed to providing our members with a huge range of support and as such have invested in qualified British Triathlon coaches to run every single one of our training sessions.
What’s more, we’ve achieved the Welsh Triathlon mark of excellence ‘STAR’ accreditation and the Un, Dau. Tri Junior accreditation. And in 2008 our Club won Welsh Triathlon ‘Club of the Year’.
